Q: How many fires do you have?
A: We responded to 224 calls in 2007 42 were actual fire calls

Q: How many fire trucks do you have?
A: We have 4 pumper trucks, 1 ladder truck, 1 Rescue truck, 1 Decon trailer, 1 Tow vehicle, 2 Inspection Vehicles

Q: How many people work for the City Fire Department?
A: We have 4 full time staff: Fire Chief, Fire Prevention Specialist, Fire Engineer and Firefighter. We have 33 volunteer fire fighters.

Q: How much does it cost for a daycare inspection?
A: It does not cost you anything at the time of the inspection. Your tax dollars cover the expense.

Q: How can I join the City Volunteer Fire Department?
A: Stop at the City Fire Department located at 25 2nd Ave. West (701) 456-7625 and pick up an application. You must be 21 years of age. Your employer must approve the application, also. Drop off the application to the City Fire Department where the application process will proceed.
